The Hcg Diet is a diet that involves hcg injections, homepathic hcg drops, hcg pellets or hcg patches, to lose weight and keep it off. The HCG Diet was originally developed by Dr. Simeons and is outlined in his book, Pounds and Inches. There are 4 phases to the diet. Phase 1 (P1) is the loading or gorge days phase. Phase 2 (P2) is known as the VLCD (very low calorie diet) and consists of eating certain foods and no more than 500 calories per day. Phase 3 (P3) is called the Stabilizing phase, where you maintain the weight you are currently ate while eating foods except for sugars and startches. Phase 4 (P4) is the final phase and is called the maintenance phase, where you maintain your losses for the rest of your life.
